Great cost performance for a neat clean room with spacious bed and free breakfast
The cost performance is great. It's not expensive and not a luxurious hotel, but it's very clean, neat, and comfortable. Cheap hotel in Japan usually don't have bathroom in the room, but offers a Japanese style onsen (communal bathroom). As in all Toyoko Inn hotels I had been before, even before using Booking.com, we have a bathtub and a shower in our rooms. Again, not spacious, but decent enough and crisp clean. The toilet and the bathtub is in the same room, the same as in typical 1 room apartment in Japan. Some people don't like this, but I don't mind at all. I also like having breakfast included in the hotel rate. It's a small breakfast buffet, but yes, it's all you can eat. Japanese/ Asian style breakfast is the main offering, with some bread and salad on the side. I like that the sleeping clothes are also provided (as most budget/ cheap hotel do not provide) and sterilized under UV lamp. The amenities are also provided, so I didn't bring any soap, shampoo, facial cleanser, etc. I am fine with hotel amenities product and rarely bring my own. The bed is bigger than single bed, most probably it's a semi-double bed. So you can roll around. In Winter, knowing how dry Japanese Winter is, I was glad to see that a humidifier is provided in the room. The last but not the least, an adult and a child can share a single room together without extra fees. No extra bed, but the bed is certainly big enough for and adult and a child. And yes, the child also get a free breakfast.
It would be better if the amenities (toothbrush, tea, facial cleanser, sleeping clothes, comb, etc) are already in the room, instead of having guest to pick what they like by themselves in the hotel lobby. The place for breakfast is rather small, not much table and chairs provided. It could do more space, especially during peak season. The bright side is, they provide bento boxes for you to take your breakfast from the buffet and eat it in your room. They also provide cups with lids for soup and drinks. A bit disappointed with the coffee there, but maybe it's just not the type of coffee that I like.

Visit Sagamihara. Great non-tourist area.
Great value for money. Easy to find coming from Hashimoto station. Breakfast buffet included. Really nice breakfast. Cleaning dining room. Cosy room. Good amenities kits. There’s a good choice of restaurants close by. The little shop with the skewers is amazing. Only a short walk from the accommodation.
Maybe warm the dumplings. They were still tasty, just a bit cold.
